dress code: Cadet

Sergeant Shirt - Tropical Jacquard Admiral Short - Navy Poppy

Cadet was established in 2011 by Raul Arevalo and Brad Schmidt. Inspired by the post war era, Cadet offers a full line of shirts, pants, knits and swimwear, all designed and manufactured in their own factory in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Cadet focuses on quality made pieces with clean lines and masculine cuts, without being afraid of introducing a bold print or color.

MENTORS NOTE: Every guy should have a bit of print in their closet. Now, lets be clear on what type of print. Cheetah? No! Houndstooth? We prefer not! A toned down classic floral or paisley print? Why not. It’ll add a bit of flair to any look without stopping traffic. Pair the shorts (shown above) with a white vneck or heathered gray deep tank for an ultra casual patio look. Or take the floral print button down shirt (shown above) and pair it with a pair of your favorite khaki or olive shorts. If you are wearing print, keep the rest of the look clean and simple so you aren’t overdoing it.
