Kent and Curwen was established by Eric Kent and Dorothy Curwen as they were the original suppliers of neckwear to Britain’s regiments and elite universities and clubs. Since 1926, Kent and Curwen has been outfitting gentlemen with its brightly colored designs. What started as a modest collection of ties and sweaters is now one of the most popular sporting brands in England. Kent and Curwen debuted in North American in 2013. This AW ’14 collection is the first for newly appointed Creative Director, Simon Spurr. With YSL (sorry, we can’t let go of the “Y”), Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren as part of his background, this New York-based designers debut collection is sure to not disappoint.
MENTORS NOTE: We are in our last leg for winter (in most places). This doesn’t mean you can get rid of your outwear wardrobe until next season. Start planning now! Get a head start on whats cool for winter (no pun intended… well maybe a small one)! The Kent and Curwen pieces shown above are our absolute favorite! The edgy, bold, fitted designs will definitely help give you a non-bulky, warm look. Pair any of the pieces shown above with a fitted pair of dark jeans or chinos. Keep the silhouette slim throughout. Invest in one or two and interchange them for more casual pieces like a cardigan or pull over.
