dress code: Yes, Sir.

Auston Bjorkman started Sir New York after studying pattern making, couture sewing and fashion design at Apparel Arts of San Francisco.  He eventually moved to New York City where he studied Menswear at the Fashion Institute of Technology.  Sir New York has an athletic design aesthetic with a touch of provocation (after all, Bjorkman has a background in leather/latex fetish wear).  Do we have your attention yet?  The collections have a minimal feel to them using the versatility of ripstop, mesh, reflective tiles, Pima and Sea Island cottons to give each piece some dimension and linearity.

MENTORS NOTE: The collection is definitely a bit more edgy, but you can still introduce a piece or two into your closet and give your appearance a bit of a boost.  Think about your style and the type of clothing that you like to wear.  If you usually lean towards the prep or casual look, you can still choose a few items from the collection and match them with your current favorites. For example, take the striped, front pocket shirt (shown above) and pair it with some bright colored chinos (kelly green… or maybe orange). The gray cardigan (shown above) can be paired with a black v-neck tshirt and some khaki colored chinos.  You’ll still have the preppy look, but with a bit more funk.
