Pendleton Woolen Mills, an Oregon-based company with origins dating back to 1863, launched its second season of The Portland Collection for Fall 2012.The Portland Collection returned with its heritage-influenced menswear designs using fabrics that are woven exclusively in Pendleton’s Northwest Mills. Building upon its Fall 2011 collection, this new line of clothing expresses an expanded color palette and displays a wider variety of fabric weights.
MENTORS NOTE: The collection is amazing! The coats are well designed with tie cords to help it fit the body and colored lining to add that hint of character to each piece (the blue and charcoal gray Anorak are shown above). Wear one over a button up or light sweater. Use the tie cords for a more fitted look. The hood is also a great accessory if you live in a cold climate region. The button up shirts have a great fit and feel to them, thanks to the exclusively woven fabric. (the Hidden Placket Shirt is shown above). This shirt can be worn with some light colored chinos, dark skinny jeans or even slacks. The placket will give you a clean line down your chest, making you look taller and more slender.
